Volunteer Work During 1st Year ;)

Medical Check-up in UIA Humanitarian Walk 2016 26 March 2016, IIUM Kuantan

We just about to start our semester 2, and the first thing we do is volunteer work before our registration. Alhamdulillah feel great about it :D

Actually Ikram Health was invited to open medical check-up booth in UIA Humanitarian Walk 2016. After the participants of the run finish up their run, they go to variety medical check-up ; general health check-up(in our booth by Ikram Health) , eye check-up by optometry IIUM students, ear check-up by audiology IIUM students & consultation about balance diet and nutrition by dietetics IIUM students. This time, I choose to be at the history taking station. Why? I want to improve my communication and approaching skills ;)

Our team today was formed by doctors, medical students, pharmacist, dietitian, nurse and dentist. Complete set huh?! ;D

Muslim Hospital Visit

19th June 2016, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan(HTAA)

Our activity today is to give knowledge to patients in several ward about how to perform solat and taking wudhu' during an illness. We also give goodies to the patients which contains a box of kuih raya, handbook of solat and water.

Although this event is a one-day event, it give so much experience to the volunteers :) The volunteers learn how to use wisdom to approach the patients thus enhanced the volunteers' communication skills insyaAllah ;)
