LOG BOOK

Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim

Currently I'm struggling to complete my logbook -_- While my other colleagues were already in their hometown because of study week for 3 weeks, while I'm still here in Kuantan, go to hospital every morning and night to oncall. This logbook accounted for 10% of our final marks that's why we are struggling to finish it.

After passing my Surgery & Internal Medicine posting, ObsGynae posting is the most "too many procedure" to be done and filled in logbook. It was beneficial of course because we at least have to see & experience all the procedure as much as we can. 

For gynae procedure we have to :

1) Clerking

2) Observe & assist : speculum examination, pap smear, genital swabs, gynae ultrasound, pipelle .

3) Observe : in OT ( any laparotomy, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, ERPOC, d&c , etc) 

For Obs procedure we have to ;

1) Clerking

2)Observe/assist/perform : normal delivery, assisted delivery(forceps/ventouse), episiotomy repair, vaginal examination, CTG application, placenta examination, ARM, amniotomy, manual removal of placenta, baby resuscitation(APGAR score), obs ultrasound, epidural&spinal block, catheterization & etc.

3) Observe : in OT ( any LSCS, breech, twins delivery )

How we can split ourselves to several pieces to complete these procedures ? haha. 2 months of course not enough for us. 

Furthermore, in order to fill up those procedures, we have to enter gynae clinic every tuesday. Unfortunately, not all specialist & MO allow us student to attach in their clinic huhu. I'm really disappointed with this fact, we student also want to learn with them. Do they want the future HO become incapable of doing anything? I once being scolded loudly by one specialist in front of patients & MO's just because I want to observe gynae ultrasound in his room haihhh..... because he really really really hates students, well I don't know the black history behind it haha. I don't know la if that specialist never become a student before hmm.

I try not to cheat in my logbook because all the "barakah" is important for me in my future and current conditions.  Well, kita akan diuji dengan apa yang kita katakan, so hati2 dearself :")

Anyway, still O&G posting is the best posting so far :D
